本シリーズに使用している木材は、通常は使用されにくいワイルドな耳をあえて残したりと自然のままを活かした作りとなっております。 節や穴もそのままを使用しているため、ひとつひとつ個体差がございますが素材の特徴となりますのでご理解ください。 -
経年変化が起こります（反りや割れ、見た目の変化）
無垢材を使用しておりますので温度や湿度の変化による収縮や反り、節や穴の部分からのひび割れが生じます。 それは素材が息づいている証で、自然そのままの表情であり、美しい表情の理由でもありますので素材の特性としてご理解ください。
節目や継ぎ目の割れ、ささくれが気になる方は、市販の木材補修用の蜜蝋やパテ・紙やすりなどを使用し、補修して頂くことで目立たなくすることが出来ます。 -
質感や風合いを残した表面仕上げにしています
素朴な風合いと質感、経年変化を楽しんでいただけるようにあえてほぼ無塗装で仕上げており、テーブルの天板には風合いを損なわない程度の簡易な撥水加工を施しております。 ご使用の環境にもよりますがその効果は半年〜1年前後で弱まり、シミや色の変化が出やすくなります。 綺麗な状態を長続きさせたい方は、水気や高温のものに十分注意し、こまめなメンテナンスをお勧めします。 -
素材を見極めて千切り（割れ止め）や反り止めを入れています
千切り（ちぎり）とは木材の割れの進行を防ぐためや板材の接ぎ切れを防ぐ際に行う加工です。
一般的には蝶やリボンのような形に加工した木片を木の割れ目や接ぎ目に埋め込んで使用します。
湿気を吸収すると膨張し、より強固に接合されます。 最近ではデザイン性を高めるために用いることも多く、あえて目立つ色の木材を使用することがあります。
無垢材は空気中の湿度を吸収したり、水分を放出したりします。テーブルなどの大きな天板は、数センチ動くこともあります。 こういった木の特徴を、見極め、活かしながら反り止め(そりどめ)を施しています。 主に木や鉄を使用し、溝を掘っている場合もあります。脚の形状や接ぎ合わせ枚数によって反り止めが不要な場合もあります。 -

本来の用途に沿わないご使用は家具への負担や衝撃が掛かり、破損や怪我の原因となりますのでお止めください。
日光の当たる窓辺や屋外、一般家庭以外でのご使用、特にエアコンのよく効いた部屋では、急激な乾燥で割れが発生しやすいので、設置場所には十分ご注意しながらご使用ください。 また安易にオイルやワックスを施すと濡れ色のような濃い色に変化しますので使用されるメンテナンス剤にはご注意ください。

We use plenty of high-quality solid teak wood that is resistant to moisture. It is finished unpainted so that you can enjoy the rustic atmosphere, and the careful sanding makes it smooth to the touch. The wild ears, which are not normally used, and the contrast of the beautiful wood grain make it stand out, while the teak's texture and natural color will blend naturally into any room. Teak itself contains a lot of natural oil, so as you use it, it becomes glossy and deepens in flavor.
Because each piece is handmade by a craftsman while making the most of the materials available, each item is unique in terms of size, wood grain, knots, color shading, etc. Enjoy the uniqueness of natural solid teak wood and the handmade characteristics.

About care
- For everyday cleaning, wiping with a wet cloth is enough to remove dirt.
- For easy stains, use #240-#1000 sandpaper to sand along the wood grain.
- How to care for it: Apply wax regularly to make it waterproof and water repellent, so you can enjoy beautiful changes over time. We recommend Arbor dry wax for those who want a dry color that looks like no paint. Due to its high volatility, dry wax is characterized by its ability to return to its dry texture after application and protect it from dirt. This is a new type of wax that does not have a moist texture compared to oil or other waxes. Please purchase from the Maruhon official website .
*Since teak itself is a wood that retains a lot of oil, the color will gradually deepen and become more glossy over time.
Notes
Avoid excessive dryness and humidity. Only the top plate is treated with water-repellent wax.
As insect repellent treatment during the manufacturing process, we apply LENTREK and dry in a kiln.
Solid teak has the ability to adjust moisture in the air, and expands and contracts repeatedly. The moisture content rises and falls depending on the environment, and its size and shape change easily, resulting in gaps in seams, warping, bending, and cracks.
