GINO's standard fabric was created with the aim of creating "furniture that can be used for decades."

GINO was born from the pursuit of the ultimate seating comfort, a used feel despite being new, and an appearance that blends in with the space. While retaining the basic European style, the design is designed to blend seamlessly into Japanese living spaces.

The eternal standard

The durable canvas fabric, which is also used for sailing ship tarpaulins and tents, is a special fabric with a high thread density. In order to reproduce the warm and gentle feel of vintage chairs, we spared no effort in the manufacturing process and made repeated prototypes at domestic factories. It is soft and relaxing, but the surface is firm and pushes back, so it doesn't sink in too much and is comfortable to sit on without getting tired.

It has been paraffin-treated (waxed) to give it water repellency, and then bio-washed using special enzymes to give it a unique texture. It puts less strain on the fibers, and the natural wrinkles and unevenness that look like they've been used will last almost forever. It will become softer and more supple as it reflects the habits and frequency of the person who uses it.

There are two colors, khaki and beige. The khaki has a deep green hue that gradually fades to brown. The beige is a calm color close to khaki, but slowly fades to a light beige. Both have expressive colors created by the light and dark shades of the fabric. You can use it for many years, so you can enjoy the texture of the fabric and the expressive colors that change over time and deepen your attachment to it.

The best seating comfort and openness

The secret to the soft, fluffy comfort you feel when you sit down lies inside the back and seat cushions. The back cushion is made of high-quality, soft feathers and memory foam. The combination of air-holding, elastic fibers and the resilience of feathers provides both a firm hold and durability.

The seat cushion is made of four layers of urethane foam covered with feathers and memory cotton. The softness of the feathers and the urethane core support your body and provide a stable feeling without sinking, so you won't get tired even if you sit for a long time, and the inside of the cushion also reduces sagging.

The wooden framework that supports the cushion, which is the most important part, uses a straight spring structure that is highly elastic and durable, and does not give in to distortion caused by standing and sitting. The springs are supported by the surrounding wooden frame, making it a sturdy structure. Using woodworking techniques such as "reinforcement," "notching," and "pressing," the entire process is done by hand, carefully down to the smallest detail, and is done consistently in Japan under strict quality control.

Sofas are always the central presence in any space, whether it be a home, an office, or anywhere else. Because they are furniture with which we spend precious time, whether it be relaxing alone or chatting with a group, we sought the highest quality in terms of materials, structure, design, and seating comfort.

Relaxed but understated

The arms are made as thin as possible to ensure ample space for relaxation. The 2P is compact and easy for single people to use. The 2.5P is spacious enough for two adults to sit. And the 3P is spacious enough for men to lie down comfortably. You can choose to suit a variety of lifestyles.

Each sofa can also be combined with an ottoman. Combine a two-seater with an ottoman and arrange them in an L-shape to lie down. In the living room, you can combine a three-seater and a one-seater to create a special atmosphere for family get-togethers.

The cushion designed for Gino is also available to make your relaxing time even more luxurious. It is large and has just the right amount of hardness, so you can adjust the arm height and seat depth. It is suitable for adults and children of all builds, so you can enjoy watching movies for long periods of time or reading in the same position.

Customize your own Gino with your own options

The solid oak legs come in two types: lathe legs and square legs. The lathe legs with their sophisticated silhouette are perfect for spaces with a vintage feel. The traditional square legs are perfect for simple, modern rooms. They can be matched with a variety of interior styles.

The canvas fabric also comes with the option of a traditional European style hem skirt.

Change to knock-down format

This option allows you to change the arm to a removable one (only for 2.5P and 3P). In cases where the sofa is too large to fit into the delivery path, removing the arm from the main body will change the shape and make it easier to bring in. Once installed in the room, it will look and feel just like a regular sofa.
