No.42
This chair was designed by Danish designer Kai Christiansen in 1956.
It offers a relaxed and comfortable seating experience. The edgy half arms and sloping rear legs are the defining features of the chair's shape.
Due to the difficulty of making it, production of the chair had been discontinued, but Kai Christiansen and the Miyazaki Chair Factory decided to reproduce it, and this marked the beginning of a relationship in the field of craftsmanship.

UNI-Senior / #4110
When Kai Christiansen visited the Miyazaki Chair Factory in 2010, the decision was made to reproduce the chair, including improving the shape of the backrest, during his workshop.
The curves of the backrest and seat gently support the body, and the simple form with gentle curves makes it easy to harmonize with a variety of interior designs.
"This chair is one of my favorites I've ever designed," says designer Kai Christiansen.

PePe side
The frame is finger-jointed to increase its strength, and the joints are a key design feature. The chair is lightweight and comfortable to sit on.
Additionally, the cross section of the ends of the legs is circular, but becomes square at the arms and then circular again at the end of the back, creating a chair where square and circle blend together.
This change gives it a gentle feel in the hand.
