Description of item
This is a flat plate basket made in Gokwe, Zimbabwe. Traditional patterns are woven using natural Irara leaves dyed with bark and mud. It is characterized by a rustic texture with a smooth texture.
The surface is slightly wavy due to the amount of pressure applied during weaving, and the uneven finish due to the natural material has roughness and differences in color, giving a sense of the warmth that can only be achieved by handmade items. Each item is a one-of-a-kind piece with a different pattern and different expression.
It's also great for storing fruits, vegetables, snacks, and small items.
Although it is practical, it has a beautiful detailed pattern and is lightweight, so you can enjoy it as a wall decoration as an interior accent.
Notes
- We use vegetable dyes. Please avoid storing it in places exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting as it may discolor easily.
- Please be careful as humidity can cause mold.
- The ends of the knitting may stick out, but this is typical of natural materials and handmade work, and is not a defect. Please cut as you like.
- We have taken multiple photos to convey the individual differences and atmosphere, but this is not a set product.
