GINO’s classic fabric, created with the goal of "furniture that can be used for decades"
GINO was born seeking supreme comfort, a used-like texture even when new, and a presence that blends naturally into spaces. While maintaining the basic European style, it is designed to fit seamlessly into Japanese living spaces.
An eternal standard
The durable canvas fabric, used for sailing ship covers and tents, is made from a special fabric with a high thread density. To reproduce the warm and gentle feel of vintage fabric, no effort was spared in the manufacturing process, with repeated prototyping at domestic factories. It is soft and relaxing, yet the surface has a resilience that prevents excessive sinking, providing a comfortable seating experience that reduces fatigue.
To provide water repellency, a paraffin treatment (wax coating) was applied, followed by a bio-wash using special enzymes to give a unique texture. This process puts little stress on the fibers, and natural wrinkles and unevenness that look worn-in last semi-permanently. The softness increases over time, reflecting the user’s habits and frequency of use.
The colors are khaki and beige. Khaki gradually shifts from a deep green to brown. Beige is a calm color close to khaki but slowly changes to a lighter beige. Both colors develop rich expressions from the fabric’s shading. Because it can be used for many years, you can deepen your attachment while enjoying the fabric’s texture and rich tones that change with age.

The ultimate comfort and sense of openness
The secret to the soft, enveloping comfort when seated lies inside the back and seat cushions. The back cushion combines high-quality soft feathers and memory foam. The mix of resilient fibers that easily trap air and the restoring power of feathers allows for both firm support and durability.
The seat cushion is covered with four layers of urethane foam wrapped in feathers and memory foam. The softness of the feathers and the core urethane support the body, providing stable comfort that doesn’t sink in, reducing fatigue even after long sitting, and minimizing internal deformation.
The wooden frame supporting the most important cushions uses a straight spring structure that excels in resilience and durability, resisting distortions caused by standing and sitting movements. The springs are supported by the surrounding wooden frame, making it sturdy. Using woodworking techniques such as reinforcement, notching, and securing, every detail is carefully handcrafted domestically with consistent quality control throughout the entire process.

Cushions designed to match Gino make your relaxation time even more luxurious. They are large and moderately firm, useful for adjusting arm height and seat depth. Suitable for adults and children regardless of body size, allowing you to comfortably enjoy long movie sessions or reading in the same posture.
Solid oak legs come in two types: "turned legs" and "square legs." The refined silhouette of the turned legs suits vintage-style spaces. The orthodox square legs fit simple modern rooms. They can match various interior styles.
Canvas fabric also offers an optional traditional European-style skirt.
