Caring for your oil leather sofa

Oil leather that tastes better the more you use it. The longer you use it, the more scratches and dirt it will get, but if you take good care of it, the scratches and dirt will become a characteristic.

This time, we will introduce how to care for your GINO leather sofa so that you can use it comfortably for a long time.

This is the usual maintenance method for dealing with daily stains on oil leather. Cannot be used on leather with piles such as nubuck or suede.

① Dust off

First, remove dust and dirt from the surface with a brush or vacuum cleaner. The point is to spread the folds and seams with your fingers. Unlike fabric, the main body is washed with foam, so it is safe to spread a towel or cloth on the floor during maintenance.

② Wash with leather soft cleaner

Soak the cleaner in the included sponge and lightly rub it to create a foam. Scrub in a circular motion. It is done with a feeling and strength that is similar to removing dirt when washing your face.

Wipe off the foam with a soft cloth and let it air dry for 30 minutes. If you can see the dirt even after drying, repeat the work.

Not only does it remove dirt, but it also eliminates unpleasant odors from cigarettes and pets that have permeated the leather.

③ Protect with protection leather cream

Next, protect the leather from dirt with protection cream.

After confirming that the leather is completely dry, apply the protection cream to the included cloth. Make sure that the cloth is thoroughly soaked in the cream and apply it evenly over the entire surface of the leather so that the cream does not clump.

After drying for 1 hour in summer and 2 hours in winter, maintenance is complete. Effective after 48 hours.

It protects the leather from water and oil, making it easier to remove dirt during the next maintenance. In particular, it will become stronger against "water", which is the biggest weakness of leather, and will increase water resistance.

Because we want you to use it carefully for a long time

By using leather every day, the texture will change, such as the oil from your hands soaking into it, and the sunlight giving it a luster. It may get dirty and scratched, but it is also a "memories" and "taste" of the time we spent together. We would be happy if you could use such precious leather for a longer time.

Wiping with a soft, dry cloth is usually sufficient. If it gets wet, dab it with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture and dry it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.

We recommend that you use the leather care kit once every six months for maintenance so that you can use your leather beautifully and cleanly for a long time. The time of care will be a fulfilling time for you.
