This mosquito coil holder was designed by furniture designer Makoto Koizumi. "Mosquito coils" have long been a part of summer life in Japan. This was developed with the aim of creating a design that is more suited to modern life and is practical. It was named "Kouyari" rather than "Mosquito coils" because it can be used not only as a mosquito coil holder in the summer, but also as a way to enjoy incense and aromas all year round.

The craftsmen are from domestic factories and rattan craftsmen. This is a special "Kouyou" that is made with attention to detail in terms of materials, techniques, design, and functionality.

It is lightweight at 130g, but is made of durable aluminum that will not break even if dropped. It is made by pressing a single sheet of metal in a press, creating a beautiful seamless form, and the whitish silver color gives it a delicate and elegant look.

Although it has a clean appearance, the lid is slightly bulged, giving it a warm design. The lid also has three indentations to prevent the tar-covered underside from touching the ground directly, providing comfort during use.

The size is large enough to hold not only chrysanthemum incense sticks but also commercially available mosquito coils. Simply place the mosquito coil on the included non-flammable mat, so it's easy to use whenever you want.
Replacement non-flammable mats are also available.

The rattan wraps, each one made by hand, not only prevent the handles from getting hot but also serve as an accent piece.

The height of the main body is low and the handle can be folded, so it can be stored compactly. It is also easy to carry.

The tip of the handle also has a hook so that it can be hung. It is designed to be easy to use even in situations where you are worried about placing it at your feet.

It also looks beautiful when hung, highlighting its dignified appearance.

During the seasons when you are not using mosquito coils, you can also use it as a receptacle for Palo Santo or incense.

This is a masterpiece that combines sophisticated design and Japanese craftsmanship, allowing you to incorporate traditional Japanese wisdom into modern life.
