A dining chair made of teak and paper cord, combining the warmth of wood with the beauty of weaving.

This dining chair combines a recycled teak frame with a paper cord seat, creating a rustic yet refined aesthetic.
The form, where straight and curved lines gently meet, and the regularly woven seat create a quiet rhythm in the space.

The seat uses paper cord, a natural material made by twisting paper. It has long been a beloved material essential to Scandinavian furniture, and it is more flexible and stronger than it looks. Another attractive feature is that it gradually softens and conforms to your body with use.
The surface is coated with resin, so minor spills can be wiped away quickly, making it resistant to stains and safe for daily use.

The frame is made of recycled teak wood that has been dried over many years. It retains the knots and color variations unique to solid wood, and its color and luster deepen with use, allowing you to enjoy its aging process.
The sharp texture of the paper cord and the warmth of the wood complement each other, blending into various spaces from natural to minimalist to vintage.

The seat is slightly trapezoidal, tapering smoothly towards the backrest, giving a clean impression.
The gently curved backrest and slightly inclined seat comfortably cradle your body, providing a pleasant experience not only during meals but also when sitting back and relaxing.
The open back prevents a sense of oppression, creating a light presence.

The armchair version allows you to rest your arms and relax, and also provides support when sitting down or standing up.
The armless version fits neatly under tables and offers a cleaner look. It's also stackable, which is a convenient feature for guests.
It pairs well with the "Oak Tapered Leg Table" and "Coupe Dining Table," and even the armchair can be balanced harmoniously.

The seat is a natural beige, harmonizing with the wood color for a soft, unified impression. It's a color that exudes the inherent warmth of the material. It pairs well with natural and minimalist interiors, creating a calming atmosphere.
Over time, the cord may stretch or loosen slightly due to body weight, which is a natural change due to the material's properties. Generally, it can be used comfortably for about 10-15 years.
Much of the manufacturing process is done by hand, and the seats, woven with appropriate tension, offer slight variations in appearance, making each piece unique.
A chair that quietly exudes presence while accompanying your daily life.
Please enjoy the deepening texture over time.

Precautions
Before Purchase
- Each product is unique, with individual differences in color shades and knot patterns. Even within a single product, the wood color and grain expression may differ between parts. As this product is designed with the characteristics of natural materials in mind, please enjoy these individual differences.
- Minor scratches, color variations, and splinters may be present; please understand these as part of the unique texture of the material and handmade craftsmanship.
- Recycled teak may have multiple dowel holes, screw holes, or scratches. Please be aware of this in advance.
Usage Notes
- Although this product has been treated to be water-repellent, it is not completely waterproof. Leaving water droplets on it for an extended period may cause stains or discoloration.
- As this is a wood product, please avoid using or storing it in direct sunlight or in extremely humid environments. This may lead to warping, cracking, or other deterioration of the wood.
Material Characteristics
- Teak wood has the property of regulating moisture in the air, undergoing repeated expansion and contraction. Therefore, the moisture content may change depending on the environment, affecting its size and shape. This can result in gaps at joints, warping or bending, and cracking.
