This is a mosquito coil holder designed by furniture designer Makoto Koizumi. The "Kōyari" has long been part of Japanese summer life. Developed to suit modern living with a design and practicality that blends in better today. It is named "Kōyari" instead of "KayarI" because it can be enjoyed year-round with incense and aroma, not just as a mosquito coil holder in summer.

The makers are domestic factories and rattan craft artisans. This is a special "Kōyari" with meticulous attention to detail in materials, craftsmanship, design, and functionality.

Weighing only 130g, it is made of durable aluminum material that won't break even if dropped. Formed by a "drawing process" where a single metal sheet is pressed, it has a seamless beautiful shape and a delicate, elegant whitish silver color.

It has a sleek appearance, but the lid is slightly bulged, giving it a warm design. The lid also features three small indentations to prevent the "tar"-stained underside from directly touching the ground, ensuring comfort during use.

The size fits not only chrysanthemum incense but also commercially available mosquito coils. Simply place the mosquito coil on the included non-flammable mat, making it easy to use whenever you want.
Replacement non-flammable mats are also available.

Each rattan wrapping is handmade, which not only prevents the handle from becoming hot but also serves as an accent.

The body is low in height, and the handle can be folded, allowing for compact storage. It is also easy to carry.

The tip of the handle also functions as a hook for hanging. It is designed to be easy to use even in situations where placing it on the floor is a concern.

The hanging appearance is also beautiful, and its dignified presence stands out even more.

In seasons when mosquito coils are not used, it can also be used as a holder for palo santo or incense.
