Since its founding in 1962, Hotta Carpet has been manufacturing Wilton carpets woven using the historic Wilton loom, which was created during the British Industrial Revolution (1760-1830). This is a custom-made item that is made by a single craftsman who carefully hammers piles into the canvas at equal intervals. It is characterized by its solid thickness and density. The clean finish with no overlapping edges is unique to the hand-tufted manufacturing method.
5 types of wool, 2 types of pile tailoring
The wool from the five countries is expressed in its original color without being dyed. There are two types of pile: "Cut pile" which has a smooth feel and "Loop pile" which has a high elasticity. It is tailored to bring out the characteristics of each wool.
