tamaki niime exhibition
You can instantly be yourself and be free, regardless of age or gender.
"tamaki niime" fabrics are produced using vintage looms at the atelier where designer Shinme Tamaki was fascinated by the historical Banshu weaving and moved to Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, where it is produced. The light, delicate and soft touch and the rich colors that you can feel the moment you touch it. In the period exhibition, we will sell the representative item shawl that you want to wrap around your neck and use it as an accent color for the coming season when it is a little chilly.
We use our own looms, which were originally intended for mass production, and weave the fabric as loosely and loosely as possible. Not limited to patterns and designs, tamaki niime's meticulously crafted textiles, which are made in a fully integrated production system, from twisting and winding yarns to dyeing, which is often done by division of labor, have a different expression for each piece1. A work like a point.
In addition to BIG/MIDDLE, the first SMALL will line up at ANTRY. It is a rare opportunity to choose while actually touching and feeling the soft texture like whipped cream. A colorful shawl that can be rolled up, worn, and tied for a smooth look. It is also recommended as a gift for the holiday season.
