POPUP by Furuya Ceramics, which has a kiln in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, will start simultaneously at ANTRY Izumi / Minamihorie from August 31st (Saturday).

We have over 40 bowls, plates, vases, etc., including rust glaze and lapis lazuli glaze, with a focus on the popular powdered tableware. All of the tableware is made by hand, giving it a rustic and warm feel. About 10 craftsmen create pottery every day, cherishing the idea passed down from their predecessors: ``Creating pottery that can be used in daily life and that can quietly be a part of people's lives.''

The ``honyaki'' process, which is normally done only once, is done twice at low temperatures, which increases the strength and texture, and also makes it difficult for dirt and moisture to stain. Furuya Pottery's utensils make your daily tea and meals a time of healing.
